"Then one of the kingÕs criers said in a loud voice, To you the order is given, O peoples, nations, and languages, that when the sound of the instruments comes to your ears, you are to go down on your faces in worship before the image of gold which Nebuchadnezzar the king has put up: and anyone not falling down and worshipping will that same hour be put into a burning and flaming fire." (Daniel 3:4-6)
Have you ever had a friend tell you to do something which you knew was wrong? Sometimes we have to make choices in our lives which are difficult. We want our friends to like us and to accept us, yet we shouldn't disobey our parents, or God.
The king commanded that all people should worship the statue when the music sounded. And anyone who didn't obey, would be thrown into a furnace of fire. But the three Hebrew boys, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abegnego refused. They knew it was better to obey God than to obey man, even if it meant losing their lives. And just like the three Hebrews learned, God will always be with you when you stand up for Him.
Have you ever felt like you were sleepy but you couldn't sleep? You may try all you can - even counting sheep - but you can also pray! The Bible says sleep is a gift from God (Psalm 127:2). So all you have to do is tell Him you'd like to receive His gift and He will give it to you.

"Do all things without protests and arguments; so that you may be holy and gentle, children of God without sin in a twisted and foolish generation, among whom you are seen as lights in the world" (Philippians 2:14-15).
