Tel-A-Care Ministry was founded in 1989 to minister to people who felt lonely and outcast, and to show them that Jesus loved them and cared for them. Our original outreach was mainly to prisons and nursing homes from which we compiled a large mailing list of people who were lonely and had no contact with family. We mailed them a monthly devotional newsletter, a greeting card on their birthday and holidays, and we also sent them a Bible and literature when requested. In addition, we collected food, toys, and clothes at Christmas for their families.
Changes in mail regulations and postage rates slowly halted our outreach. However, the internet offered a way, not only to reach those who are lonely or outcast, but "whosoever will." So we launched this site in 2000 to encourage the body of Christ, give hope to the hurting, and to reach the unsaved.
The Scripture which we use for our theme, Isaiah 55:1, beckons all who are thirsty to come to the waters, without price, without money. It echoes Jesus' call, "Whosoever will, come and take the water of life freely." Freely we have received, now freely we give. (Matthew 10:8).
This site is humbly dedicated to Jesus Christ, in whose name we cast this bread upon the water. Thank you for visiting this site, and may God richly bless you.

Webmaster, Tel-A-Care Ministry
I make my home in Flagstaff, Arizona in the heart of northern Arizona's dramatic scenic beauty and richness. I'm the father of two beautiful boys whom I adore - ages 3 and 8. I'm recently divorced, but through God's grace and help, I'm continuing to seek His will and direction for my life, and will continue with His help to keep ministering to the lost and hurting through this site.
Originally from Georgia (born in Florida), I work full-time at the local university as a graphic designer. In my spare time, in addition to this site, I also design a local bimonthly Christian newspaper. I enjoy the outdoors and love to hike and camp - below is a photo of me on a hiking trip through the Grand Canyon. I've also climbed Mt. Humphreys, Arizona's highest point at over 12,640 feet. Inbetween my activities, you'll find me curled up in front of the fireplace with my Bible or a good Christian book, listening to Christian music, or enjoying a good workout.
